Random TLA's really should be expanded and better a short description or link. Different industries will have different jargon or acronyms and you want something related to your topic. Not necessarily the ones we might guess at.

The first thing I thought when seeing "SEM" was "Space Empire Marines" so likely not related.

BTW TLA= Three Letter Acronym.

And applies to longer acronyms.
