Hi all,

Relatively new to SAS Administration..  I came across a NEWS folder on our old system.  It seemed like a way to inform users of things such as upcoming maintenance on the system etc.  I attempted to search on how to do this in Google but nothing seems to be coming up for me (I always seem to just get links to SASWORK filling up or "New" Release notes).  I am happy to go RT*M but unable to find it (which makes me think this is a deprecated feature).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I suspect you're wanting the NEWS system option:

Yes, thank you.  I didn't even know it was a SYSTEM OPTION.  I thought there was just a (secret) specific file (such as news.txt) you place into the news folder for the information to appear!  Thanks so much!
