Hi,We recently installed a SAS hotfix W62006  on our SAS mid tier configuration - (SAS 9.4TS1M5, Sas studio 3.4). After the hotfix was deployed, I am not able to login to SAS Studio. There's a windows authentication prompt that keeps popping up, even if I press okay/ cancel. We used to get this pop up before the hotfix installation, but the moment we pressed cancel, it would redirect us to the SAS logon page. Can you please help?I've followed all the hotfix installation procedures, and the installation  was successful.  (Attached screenshot of prompt that repeats indefinitely)

Hi @abhinav208

Do you see any errors in the object spawner log or SAS Studio mid-tier log?

Hi,
There was no entry in the midtier log for the connection attempt. Object spawner log did have entries, but it looked normal.
Although, I noticed another log file with errors on it,
C:\SAS\Config\Lev1\Web\WebServer\logs\error_2020-05-10-06.52
The errors were:
[Sun May 10 06:56:35 2020] [error] (OS 10061)No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. : proxy: HTTP: attempt to connect to [IP] failed
Not sure how to proceed with this. I was able to ping the servers from each instance, and the spawners are running, with no error messages in the log.

Since you are not able to get in and the credentials prompt keeping popping up, I think it has something to do with the authentication. Usually the error you shared means the port is already in use by another process and the connection was refused. Could you check if all the SAS Services are up and running on their respective ports?
Also, if there are any other web applications deployed at your site, Can you login to them successfully?

Hi,
I don't have any other web applications installed, it's just SAS Studio and some stored processes set up as a web app. Same situation there as well. The services are up and running. Everything looks fine except that the server keeps refusing connection. I am able to go to my base URL of SAS Studio where it says Congratulations! You have successfully set up SAS Web Server. But when I connect to the SAS Studio part, it keeps asking for authentication.
I've been through pretty much all the log files that are there. I'm guessing the hotfix changed some authentication configuration, but not sure where to look. My config.properties file is the same as before the hotfix.
Any help would be much appreciated!

Can you just try to login to the SAS Logon application? Hit the Web Server URL at your site followed by <URL>//SASLogon and give your creds to see it's working.

Also have you confirmed all the ports designated for SAS are used by them? Or is there any other process using it?

Here is a similar problem faced when web server port was in use. In your case since web server is reachable I am assuming it could be 8080 Web App Server1_1 port.
