Hello friends,
We have installed SAS 9.4 m6 on windows environment and we have received SAS EG 8.2. We have users who like to continue using SAS EG 7.1 since they are used to it and new version of SAS EG has different interface which some users finds trouble browsing with different options and all. Anyway to continue using SAS EG 7.1 along with new version?
Thank you.
As long as the PC you are installing on can "see" the folder share where the SAS depot is stored everything should be fine. Choose the "Additional software" install option and select EG only. If installing from a file share causes problems, copy the whole SAS depot to the PC local drive and install from there.
There is no problem having two versions of EG installed on the same PC. Just ensure that the earlier version is either already installed or is installed first:

From the SAS depot EG 7.1 was originally installed from.
Thanks SASKiwi.
So do i have to copy old software depot to new server (or to any network shared drive), run deployment wizard from old depot to add old version of SAS EG as client install?
Is there any risk of incompatibility or so?
