Good morning,

I'm currently trying to install sas viya on a OL7 server, and I don't know how to pass this error on ansible, I tried everything and there is no troubleshooting info to help.

Any help will be appreciated.

@FredGPC,

Please show me the output from the following command:

sudo /etc/init.d/sas-viya-saslogon-default status

Also, the most recent log file from /opt/sas/viya/config/var/log/saslogon/default/.

I tried another installation (rolled back the snapshot) and same error but on another service, randomly passed the sas-logon service.
I did that to check if it was the service or server conf problem but it seems the errors are just random.

[root@sasviya sas_viya_playbook]# sudo /etc/init.d/sas-viya-report-packages-default status
sas-viya-report-packages-default is stopped

new deployment.log on attachment.

No sas-viya-report-packages log but theres a sas-reports-default log if it helps.

Hello @FredGPC,

I doubt there is something really ramdom there.

While you install, are you checking the status of memory and the volume mounts

Is your firewall up or down?

At the time of installing/configuring, I would like to recommend you to add the verbose parameter/option of ansible-playbook and see what you get. And, while you execute, you can open another terminal with watch -n5 htop and another wit h watch -n5 df-H.

Firewall is down so all the ports can be active and im doing htop and watch df -h while installing to try and figure out something now. sorry for the late reply.

If its a memory problem, if I add more Ram probably it would go with no problems right? 🙂

Thank you,

Fred

I manage to import the VM to another machine, witch haves more RAM, now it should go without a problem.

There's one problem though,

[root@sasviya install]# curl -OLv --cert ./entitlement_certificate.pem --cacert ./SAS_CA_Certificate.pem https://ses.sas.download/ses/repos/shipped/va/100/va-100-x64_redhat_linux_6-yum/sas-certframe-3.1.22...

Had this problem earlier fixed by @alexal, where the software was blocked due to download attempts.

If you could liberate it so I could try again please,

@FredGPC,

I've increased your download limit once again. I would suggest you create a local repository mirror.

FredGPC
Fluorite | Level 6

@alexal I managed to create a repository mirror, and the installation was succesfull with 20Gb Ram and 3 CPU, now theres another problem, when you try to access http://<server_ip>/SasStudio or with the url you get from :

[root@sasviya sas_viya_playbook]# grep 'sasboot' /var/log/sas/viya/saslogon/default/sas-saslogon_2018-05-29_18-43-15.log
Reset the password for the initial user "sasboot" by using this link: /SASLogon/reset_password?code=p5i2ocxb2n

the server says The requested URL /SASLogon was not found on this server.

The services are almost all up :

@FredGPC,

Do not use HTTP, use HTTPS protocol. Anyway, have you seen any errors in /etc/httpd/logs and/or /opt/sas/viya/config/var/log/httpproxy/default?

FredGPC
Fluorite | Level 6

Managed to pass that error with a stop-all / restart server/ start -all

but now i get a whitelablel error page error 403 - permission denied.

on the httpd/logs/error_log theres this:

[Mon May 21 10:38:22.863827 2018] [autoindex:error] [pid 2658] [client 10.0.0.10:48101] AH01276: Cannot serve directory /var/www/html/: No matching DirectoryIndex (index.html) found, and server-generated directory index forbidden by Options directive

Prob cant pass it with a restart again 😉

@FredGPC,

I would suggest you open a track with our middle tier support.
