Say sayonara to the old SAS developer portal. We recently shut it down. The new portal is live and has a new home. The old and new sites were living side by side while we finished up some development work. Now visiting developer.sas.com will take you to the new site. We're excited to introduce you to the new site and we're dedicating the September edition of the SAS Bowl to it.
First, what is a developer portal? According to Pronovix, "A developer portal - often shortened to devportal - is the interface between a set of APIs, SDKs, or other interactive digital tools and their various stakeholders." Who uses a developer portal? Well, developers, including web, application, mobile and open source developers. But in the case of SAS, we also cater to data scientists, business analysts, administrators, and professors and students. In other words the portal has something for everyone.
What will you find on the SAS developer portal. First and foremost, API documentation. But there's much more. We identified hundreds of use case, resources for open source and SAS programmers, SDKs, other SAS technologies and solutions, and finally links to the SAS Developers Community and GitHub. It's truly a comprehensive, one-stop shopping experience.
Below are portal-related resources we'll use to create questions for the game.
For those who may be new to the SAS Bowl, you can find game history and specifics in this Community memo. There you'll also find links to previous events, which include recordings.
Register for the event and receive an invite with game details and a Teams meeting link. On game day, Join the TEAMS meeting to play, and show off your SAS and worldly knowledge while competing for bragging rights and SAS Community game gear.
