Please, can anyone tell me in simplest words what's the SAS Table Server SASTS and what is it for?

Which desktop client application I use it with? SAS Data Integration Studio? or SAS Enterprise Guide?

To my knowledge, there is no such thing. A google search for "SASTS" reveals only things that have nothing to do with IT, especially not data warehousing.

I guess you mean something different. If you can describe what it is supposed to do, we might find the correct name or acronym.

Sorry, but probably the acronym is wrong, you are right!

However, I found it in the documentation about SAS Table Server.

Following an image about SASTS table Server in the SAS Management Console.

What I want know is  what's the table server and what is it for?

How to I know if my DIS ETL processes are using it?

I think SAS Table Server was before my time.

Here's the documentation on it:

Looks like it was used as a single entry point for multiple data sources, so SAS goes to SAS Table Server which then surfaces SAS data sources or third-party like Oracle or DB2.
