We have SAS Studio enterprise edition installed in a multi-tier environment. Is there any way we can enable prompts (user id and pwd) for libraries whenever user login to SAS Studio.
Users are always using the same set of libraries after logging in to SAS Studio. We want those libraries to be automatically assigned after user provides the relevant user id and pwd in the prompt in SAS Studio.
A better way to control access to different SAS data libraries is to make use of the SAS metadata security model.
What that means in practice is that the libraries visible to you in SAS Studio are controlled by your SAS Studio user account. If you are using single signon to SAS Studio then your user account is your PC login account.
We have SAS 9.4 installed on Unix plarform and the access is managed by addition of users to metadata.
After logging into SAS Studio, inorder to assign the daily set of SAS libraries which users use everyday, can we have a prompt trigerred from SASStudio asking for password?
As far as I am aware such a prompting feature is not available.
You can set up data libraries in SAS Management Console, and have these available to your users in SAS Studio as soon as they open it.
The SAS Users Group for Administrators (SUGA) is open to all SAS administrators and architects who install, update, manage or maintain a SAS deployment.
