SAS JVM 8_1 and 12_1 monitoring

HI Team,

We have SAS ECM application which is used by 150 users. There are multiple factors for causing latency of this application and on this issue we are following up with SAS tech support.

But I need to monitor this JVM based on requests on this application like below.

1) How many users are accessing alerts page.

2) How many users are accessing case page.

3) Number of concurrent sessions and number of active sessions etc.

We don't have SAS EV manager right now. Please let me know if you any ideas/solutions for this.

I would enable the SAS EVM and its Extended Monitoring, it is not very hard to do.

In any case, if you still don't want to, or you cannot for any reason, you can still:

• Monitor the Java Virtual Machines through the JMX, there are tool as jconsole that can help you with that. https://docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/technotes/guides/management/jconsole.html The SAS EVM does the monitoring through JMX.
• You can also monitor, parse and analyse your logs in the SAS middle tier. All the information you are looking for, is there. http://documentation.sas.com/?docsetId=logug&docsetTarget=titlepage.htm&docsetVersion=9.4&locale=en
