Hi, I am sorry..I thouht it might one of cause..

Are you working with a SAS Metadata cluster? Yes.

Besides, is this error happening after each DB error? Can you confirm? No ..This is not happening along with ORACLE DB.

No need to apologize 🙂

Then, the second link on my last post can give you information to solve that concrete issue.

But I would be surprised if that one will solve the issue about connections to Oracle from SMC.

Just out of curiosity:

do you eperience this problem no matter what user logs on to SASMC? if you use sasadm@saspw , and you do have another admin user - just for the fun of it - try to log on with the other admin user ID and try again.

Are you using Metadata bound libraries?

My apologies if this has been answered before: you are using SAS/Access to Ora?

One correction: We use secure libraries.

I think this is not related to the issue.

Anyway: are you on SAS 9.4 M1? http://support.sas.com/kb/55/014.html

HI All,

One quick update...

I can able to see SAS 9.4 SMC- data server tab details with SASTRUST user Only.

Not sure how to proceed from here ??

Interesting.

Could you please review the authorizations on your Oracle server's metadata definition, and on his connection?

I feel confident youwill find the clue you need there.

I guess there was a change on metadata folders permission or ACTs.

Thanks...This DataServer Tab details appear in Folder Tab...not from Plug-Ins Tab. I mean I cant see Library Manager from Plug-Ins Tab.

Do you still stick to your point ??

I understand. For now, yes, I do stick to my point.

If you are administrator/unrestricted, on the Folders tab, you can fo to /System/Servers folder. Then you can see the servers on the view of the right side.

And you will be able to see the authorizations over there.

I have gone through unrestricted user..But In Server folder..I could see my projects server conections (PWS,WS STP..etc.,) but not specific to library.

What exactly I should verify here?

Maybe an screenshot would help.

You should be able to see the definition of your DBMS over there.

First, I understand if you hide character strings, but this makes a bit hard to help you on that way.

Second, let me refresh: What I proposed is:

go to the /System/Servers folder. On the view of the right (directly of the Servers folder), you will see the metadata definitions of your servers: SASApps, SASMeta, Scheduling Server, etc...One of them should be the one for your DBMS.
