Update: SAS 9.4M8 has been released (31-Jan-2023).

I just wanted to let you all know that the release date for SAS 9.4M8 has moved from November 2022 to the end of January 2023 (2023w05).

The current plan is for it to ship the end of November 2022.   If this date slips, we will reply to this message

Thanks Margaret!  I am wondering if the end date of the Standard Support will change when M8 will be release? i.e. now the end date is January 1st, 2025

Please review the information about base SAS on this web site for details regarding support for maintenance releases of SAS 9.4.  Support Levels by Product | SAS Support

Support level for 9.4_M8 will be at least 5 years after it ships.

Great conversation.  Keep the questions coming.

I logged in to double check however that above link is coming back as 'bad' at least for me.

Please see related thread here:

https://communities.sas.com/t5/All-Things-Community/SAS-9-4-end-of-life-date-on-premise/m-p/564086

At the end, Chris Hemedinger confirms that, as per SAS support policy, 9.4M8 will have 5 years of standard support.  Note you can see from Margaret's post that 9.4M7 also has 5 years of standard support, thus its end of standard support is September 2025. So basically, every Maintenance release gets 5 years of standard support.  There is no 'end of life date', or even 'end of standard support date' for 9.4. : )

Thank you, any update when the doc for M8 would be available?

Thank you very much for that update. Just to double check, is that for just Base or is it for the Platform produces, such as DI, EBI, VA, etc? I recall the timelines used to be staggered, depending on the Products.
