Definitely. When we upgraded, we had all kinds of problems until we disabled our AV software, from some processes being blocked to others taking much longer than they should because of the AV software scanning in real time.
while the temporary suspension of antivirus is definitely a preferred scenario with SAS deployments and UIPs, in some cases it is just not possible due to policies.
However, in those restrictive situations, what you can do is to request in advance a rule to exclude some folders/locations. This works 100% of the times in every situation.
The SAS Users Group for Administrators (SUGA) is open to all SAS administrators and architects who install, update, manage or maintain a SAS deployment.
