Dear Readers,

I want to mask the VA URL for Public Access i.e. Somebody puts the VA url link as VA.XXXX.com. this URL should redirect to my VA server but internally the URL for VA will be like SASVA.xxxx.co.in:7980/SASVisualAnalyticsHub. The internal VA link on which VA server is configured should not be visible to end user along with the port at which it is running.

Can somebody let me know how can we achieve it or any idea would be of great help.

Thanks & regards,

Abhishek

Hello @avvy,

the best way to move forward is to have a HTTP server upfront acting as reverse proxy and configure the reverse proxy integration at the SAS VA side http://documentation.sas.com/?docsetId=bimtag&docsetVersion=9.4&docsetTarget=p0sxhuco18v167n13dsmnrf...

Perhaps you will want to call an specialised SAS consultant in, to make this change, since it has some complexity.

There is an alternative option, but its success will depend on the skill level of your IT teams. I am talking about Forward/Rewrite rules in your firewalls (or even reverse proxies). However, and although extended (even for SAS installations), please be aware that this configuration is not officially supported by SAS Technical Support. Hence let me stress the point that it will depend on how skilled and confident your IT teams would feel with such configuration.
