Hello -

In a mainframe shop that I know, developed and tested code is deployed through Changeman/Endevor to production upon approval or package or PLU depending on the tool and the code ripples to production libraries.

On an Unix environment, is there an equivalent of Changeman/Endevor that can do similar "Source Control -  Version Control - Deployment" based on an approval like what we have on Changeman or Endevor ???

Thanks in advance.

Endevor is only a tool for relasemangement of source code approaches. Most of the endevor process are local tailored code (Rexx like) to process the actions. Your question should be:
- is there a common service/application like Endevor in Unix world?

Yep there are many of those and you need to do all the tailoring again. That is the most difficult hard part of it.
