Logging out from a Single TAB of SAS Studio in Viya 4

Hi everyone, 

My Development team, in SAS Viya4 LTS 2024.09 open multiple SAS Studio Tabs in Chrome.

They would like to close a particular SAS Studio session or logout only from selected Tabs of the SAS Studio. 

Is there a config, or a patch that can be applied to enable such a feature. 

P.S. they launch multiple Tabs with the same LDAP id.

This is a function of the browser rather than SAS, the browser tabs are sharing the same authentication to Viya. You'd need to check your browser options to see if there is any way to have it treat the tabs separately, I'm not aware of any way to do so.

I am not sure how Viya reacts to abandoned sessions. 

But I have noticed that does seem to time-out the sessions pretty quickly (at least in our installation).  

So perhaps just tell them to close the tab without bothering to sign out.

Maybe you could resolve this limitation by using multiple browser windows?

Further what @gwootton had said the all these sessions would be running in the same pod.
So logging out from any window  would likely result in logging out from all sessions.
