Hi,

are you in the process of installing or is it installed, but not working?

The error seems to indicate a permission problem. The user who's running "against" Hadoop

has to have access.

Tech Sup might be able to help you with this.

Thanks

Anja

Hi Anja,

SAS ACCESS for Hadoop is already installed on the server.

Also Ive another query reg the SAS HADOOP Compatibility with various distibutions.

http://support.sas.com/resources/thirdpartysupport/v94/hadoop/hadoop-distributions.html

The above link mentions various distributions SAS is compatible with.So my question is for different distributions will SAS provide different JAR files or is it one for all.

For other customized distributions outside of whats mentioned in SAS site , what are the options to connect them to SAS ?

Hi tommy81,

SAS does not provide the Hadoop JAR files; those need to be acquired from your Hadoop administrator.

However, with SAS 9.4 M3, the SAS Deployment Manager tries to gather the JAR files and configuration files

from the Hadoop environment.

Note:  if the JAR files and config files are not in the default directories, SAS won't find them and it could

cause problems.

If you do acquire the right JARs and config files, you'd have to make sure these files are set correctly too:

SAS_HADOOP_CONFIG_PATH

SAS_HADOOP_JAR_PATH

They have to be placed in a directory that your SAS clients/users machines' have access to.

Hope that helps?
