Hi all,

We recently upgraded from SAS 9.4M6 to SAS 9.4M7, and since then, we've encountered an issue where we're unable to load data into the SAS VA Laser Server. After restarting the services, everything works fine for about 5 days, but the problem resurfaces and we have to restart the services again to restore functionality.

SAS is running on Windows. Has anyone else faced a similar issue or can provide suggestions on how to resolve this? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance!

I think we need a bit more to go on. What do you get in the logs when you try to load data unsuccessfully?

Hi Nigel,

Below are the error message we are getting.

When we restart the cashe locater services it is working fine for some time 5 to  10 min later the same issue.

If we restart all the services it is working fine for 5  days after that the  issue repeats.

ERROR: Unable to connect to Metadata Server.
ERROR: Unauthorized: Check username/password.
ERROR: Write access to member LASRLIB.SUP_10_TRANSPOSE.DATA is denied.

ERROR: A connection to the LASR Analytic Server on 'sasva.ppacdomain.local', port 10031, could not be made. Make sure that the host
and port are correctly specified, that you are attempting to connect to a LASR Analytic Server of the correct vintage, and
that the server is still running.

Thanks for your support.

You would be best to work with Tech Support on this if you haven't opened a track already, as this is going to require some troubleshooting. The first error suggests that the Metadata Server service is down so I would start by looking at the Metadata Server logs.
