Hello everyone, I'm writing to ask any advice to solve an installation issue.
I closed all SAS servers and SAS window servers and retried, but it didn't work.
I recently installed PostgreSQL: File Browser to connect Stata to WRDS server.
Could this cause a problem in SAS installation?
Thank you for your attention 🙂
Did you attempt to change the permissions on those two files?
Navigate to the shown folder using Windows Explorer or your favorite file manager,
right click on the file and select the Properties menu
Go to the Security tab
Click on the Administrators group name
If there is a check mark following Write then write permissions is not the problem. This likely means that you need to be logged in as an administrator to run the install program.
If there is no check mark click on the Edit button to allow editing the permissions.
Again click on Administrators to make that the active group.
You should be able to click on the box under Allow to set write permissions.
Note: You may need to have administrator privileges to change the permissions
Almost certainly need administrator privileges to install the program.
Looks like Postgres is running. Please close the Postgres services.
One approach is to go to task manager and close them.
Most likely your web infrastructure platform data server is running. You can see it in task manager like below
If you right click -> Go to service(s) it will redirect you to the corresponding service. Stop that and Refresh.
