Hi All,

In SAS 9.4, we have a import.sas to extract the user information from LDAP. So, in Viya is it possible to extract user information from Google LDAP using sas program ?

Regards,

Anil

Hi @anilawate,

That's an interesting question. If you want to only extract information to review you can try to run this code in viya SPRE engine and see if it works. (Haven't tried it so not sure if it works) However the complete process of users bulk loading, I don't think is supported in Viya as the same way in 9.4

LDAP is the OOTB confiuration in viya, where in you can provide your ldap information for the identities service and it would extract the users for you. Link below for the steps on the same.

The primary purpose of importing LDAP/AD user information into SAS 9.4 is to automatically update SAS metadata. Viya doesn't use metadata repositories so I'm wondering what your use case is?

Hi @SASKiwi,
My case is to just to extract LDAP information not to update metadata.
