Hello everybody,

I'd like to add user of SAS Visual Analytics from SAS Environment Manager. I have read the SAS Env Manager 2.5 Administration User's Guide, and there's instruction how to "Add a User" it on page 6. However, I couldn't find Users Module on my Enviroment Manager, only List of Users and no button or anything for adding new user (enclosed the snapshot).

Also, I have added the Capabilities for User Manager through SAS Management Console (as written on page 3: Controlling Access to Modules), but it didn't change anything. Should I restart the server to take the effect?

Any help would highly be appreciated!

Note: I'm using SAS Environment Manager 2.5 with SAS 9.4, and SAS Visual Analytics 7.2.

Hi,

what you are doing here is to add users on the Environment Manager, for the Environment Manager itself, not to SAS Visual Analytics.

You have a User Manager Module on SAS Environment Manager (under Administration, not under Manage), but I believe it was released on SAS VA 7.3 not on 7.2.

Therefore, you still need to use the SAS Management Console to create new users on SAS.

Hi Juan,

I have found the User module under Administration menu. It popped a new window, then clicked on the side menu.. et voila!

I created a new user via SAS Environment Manager, then used it to login to SAS VA and it worked Smiley Happy

Groups and roles can be added to that user via user setting "Member of".

Thanks for enlightening!!
