Hello Friends 

 

I have issue with my /tmp getting full, so am trying to route it to alternative directory something like /edc/file/tmp

i tried doing with ln -s /root/tmp /edc/file/tmp..but still my /tmp throwing error cannot continue installation..

 

can you please help how can i achieve this.

/tmp is for temporary storage. See if it is cluttered up with stuff not needed anymore. If that is not the case, have it increased. Do not try to re-route it.

 

To link a directory /x/y to filesystem /z, do

ln -s /x/y /z/y

Anything that is written to /z/y will end up in filesystem /x.
