Hi,

I want some help about how to deal with password expired of users on Active Directory integrated with SAS 9.4 Linux.

When the password expired, users do not recieve a pop-up or some alert about it and always thinks that the platform has problems because user and password dont activate the session... when the problem is expired password...

thanks,

Claudio

In order to use SEG or SEM one has to log in to the machine. At this stage a user is prompted for updating the password, if the password has expired. In a corporate environment ,in fact the OS always prompts for updating passwords well ahead of time. This does not happen everyday.

In the SAS Enterprise Guide the user cannot login if the password has expired and the user gets a pop window for inputing the password.  if one does not want to be prompted for password , thee IWA can be used.
Every user who has "grown up" to use SAS knows this.

A lay and absolute beginner needs to learn and understand the basics. No special provision is needed.
