Your comment/question is vague. You entirely miss the data science/statistician subset that use - Statistical Analysis Software (SAS) on a daily basis. Additionally your arguments/statements on why to learn R are unsupported and wrong. R does not scale easily - that is it's huge drawback. R vs SAS is not a question - yes you will need both for statistical analysis. There are other languages, Python, Scala, C++, Javascript, Julia that are relevant. For enterprise level BI, data management, database development R will not stand up, IMO. It leads in statistical analysis. However the majority of options are also available in Python and Scala and those are implementable in servers and databases directly.
