Ah, well then this process needs to be part of any change management on the server.  What I would say is that the program to read the data in should be fixed, per the current setup.  If the setup changes the program will fail and it will be picked up then, however, an ideal setup would be that this is part of the change management - so when the system is changed then this is also checked/validated.  At a quick google, there appear to be a fair few command line tools out there to provide stats on linux server, is the OP using something like that?  I wouldn't expect the output from such a tool to change, based on underlying system changes, so this wouldn't then impact. ... How do I tell my PROC IMPORT to really use the field names and stop using the old field names Show the code. Proc import should not have any memory of any  sort. If you are referring to the EFI sections in the data step generated to read csv, they are only reacting to error codes. It sounds like you may have a error an not replacing an existing data set. Do you have a QUIT at the end of the Proc datasets? It is one of the procedures that supports run groups and uses QUIT to end the procedure. ... View more

Hi Cynthia, Thanks so much for responding. You were right. It was something specific to Enterprise Guide. I had to set the "Results Format" to use PDF as its default. In EG, "Tools" ==> "Options" ==> "Resuts General" and set the "Results Formats to include PDF.
