If you’re sticking with SAS, I’d make sure your template is completely ready before you start—like having all the formatting, formulas, and everything else set up just right. You could also try using PROC REPORT to get more control over where your data ends up. That can work, but honestly, it can turn into a lot of trial and error to get everything lined up the way you want. I’ve found Excel TV pretty handy for stuff like this. They’ve got tips that’ve helped me rethink how I tackle tricky Excel workflows.
