Hi, Can anybody help me with the following problem: I have a program that runs without error when I open it and then run it. As soon as the program is called by another program (which I need to do), I get the warning "T he quoted string currently being processed has become more than 262 characters long. You may have unbalanced quotation marks." After that a macro variable which is created by a PROC SQL is not created correctly. The code where the problem occurs is something like that: proc sql; select name from dictionary.columns into :mylist separated by ' ' where libname='WORK' and memname='MYDATA' and name not in ("vara","varb","varc"); quit; Has anyone experienced something similar? How can I get around that? Thanks in advance for your help. Kathy
