When ever you have a question about an error, or even just about a warning or note, copy the code and all messages from the LOG for the data step or procedure causing your question. On the forum open a text box with the </> icon that appears above above the main message windows and paste all of the copied text into the box.   The text box will preserve formatting of text, such as position of diagnostic characters that SAS often provides.
