No it doesnt help too much, What i need, is a kind of metadata about a sas guide project. These infos are viewable in the browser pane of a query builder, They can be found in the xml files of an egp , But if i can have it in a a table that list these informations like in the dictionary tables that will be much easier to use.

Hi all, I need to list all tables in my project, with the process flow that contains a table, and the task that produces a table. In the Query builder > add table > in the Browse pane : we can see the name of a table, label, source(task), Location(process flow), creation date. These informations are may be stored somewhere. Any idea where can i find it.

Hello, i'm scheduling the execution of an egp file, and i have two environments : dev and test when i run my scheduled task, the project is executed with the last profile that has opened/saved the project. how can i force the profile that will execute the project (the server where the project will be executed on)? i'm under sas guide 4.3.

Hi all, in a query, i need to have a constant character variable, i need this variable to be $64 length (preparing it for an append) in the wizard for creating a new column (calculated="char"), when i change the length value to 64 , i have an error popup : the length value is out of range, it should be between 3 and 8 i tried to get around this by using a cat or repeat ... functions, but a length of 200 is too much its a project for non sas specialists so less code is better.

after checking, my NLS_LANGUAGE under Oracle is : American, And both this proposed solutions are working, i'll stay on the NLS_DATE_LANGUAGE parameter of TO_DATE for convenience. Thanks, The issue seems to be with TOAD, he accept 01Aou and not 01aug whith American as language!

i'm querying an oracle database with sql pass through the issue is with the format of the datetime passed. On Oracle this query return the error 01843 not a valid month. select to_date('18aug11:17:36:34','ddmonyy:hh24:mi:ss') from dual this is fixed by changing AUG to AOU, cause my nls_date_language=french under Oracle The problem is when i execute the equivalent pass trough for the fixed query from my SEG, i have the opposite behavior: the query with AUG is OK and the query with AOU return an ERROR: ORACLE execute error: ORA-01843: not a valid month. just for information, under sas also my locale language is set to FRENCH_FRANCE.
