Hello In need of some help regarding proc tabulate and how to format my output a certain way. My current code: ods _all_ close; ods excel file="E:\Users\Daniel Paredes\ALLPCLEVELS.xlsx"; proc tabulate data=final style=minimal format=comma6.; class User District / order=data s=[font_weight=bold]; var Email--Progressing; table User*District all ='Average'*f=6.2, Email--Progressing*mean=' '/s=[font_weight=light font_size=6] nocellmerge; run; ods excel close; ods listing; My current codes output image below What I am trying to achieve and am having issues coding this is below: I would like my new tabulate report to have a heading called 'PC Actions Taken' above the columns Email to Other with a sum of those columns called 'Total Action Taken'. And a heading called 'PC Level of Contact' above columns High to Progressing with a sum of those columns called 'Total Levels of Contact'. Your help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've also attached the spreadsheet with the example sheets. .

Thanks Reez. Yes this will mostly likely be a daily process. It think the solution mentioned below re running the method with VBS. Currently run SAS EG from a server. X command?

Hi All Thanks for the feedback. I am currently creating the excel file in SAS and exporting it with ODS proc report. Basically I want a unique column once the export is completed to have a data validation rule. This exported report will be used for data entry. Very similar to what the link Reeza provided below. https://communities.sas.com/t5/ODS-and-Base-Reporting/ODS-Excel-data-validation/td-p/388441 If this is currently not possible with SAS 9.4 then I will just add this data validation rule once the report is exported to excel.

Sorry I should have explained it a bit better. I want the ability to select 'Yes/No' as a list in empty cells not as a filter in the top row . Similar to when you create a list in excel. Any code that can make this happen?

I was wondering if it's possible to create a drop down list in SAS EG for export to excel. For example in my image below I would like to build a program where I can create a column which has a drop down list built into it when I export the data to an excel spreadsheet? Any advice will help. Regards Daniel

Hi All, Thanks for the feedback. Definitely have some sort of platform to work with now. I think I will try my luck with developing and running a stored process as our company has all the required prerequisites. @AllanBowe thanks for the advice and your take on it. If I have any questions and if I need to pursue your suggestion, I will message you directly and go from there.

@andreas_lds @Kurt_Bremser @AlanC @Patrick Hi All, Appreciate your advice and all your suggestions. Unfortunately, my company has no plans to use Viya so that won't be an option. It seems like the best solution would probably be to re-build those programs. Would I re-build/design those programs in EG as that is the application we currently use? How would you recommend I build those panel programs? Could I possibly create a Stored Process, and deploy it in a web app? Trying to find the most efficient way forward before I tackle this project. Thanks.

My work has several ‘panel’ programs that currently need to be run from BASE SAS. The specific program I am trying to run contains a list of FRAME and SCL types. I have been delegated a project where those panel programs need to be run on SAS EG for user accessibility (we are trying to move users away from BASE SAS). The code below is what I use to call the catalog program in SAS EG. Libname essplib "E:\Users\Daniel Paredes\Mydata"; proc display catalog=essplib.Pan01.Main.Frame; run; When I run the code above, I get the error below. ERROR: Cannot allocate window. NOTE: Cannot open entry AF.AFGO for write access - catalog SASUSER.PROFILE is opened for read access. Any help or suggestions I can get with this would be greatly appreciated.
