Thank you for your reply. You are correct that ageA and AFF are related. Is there a way to get my model to work around this? sorry I am very new to stats and sas. I have just finished reading sas/stat user guide version 8 chapter 30 on GLM procedure, but still haven't found my answer. Cheers Em

Thankyou for your reply. I checked the data and there were some missing observations that I have now corrected, but this did not make a difference. I then changed the ageA and wta to continuous rather than category, but again it still returns non-est.

Hi All, I would like to look at whether arrival age (ageA), arrival weight (wta) and age at first calving (AFF) have an effect on calving rate (FR1); each of the above factors are grouped for example ageA is, 22-24 months, 24-26 months and 26-28months. The ultimate outcome is to be able to use the above factors as predictive measures for calving rate. Below is the analysis I have run: Only AFF is significant, the others are not and the LSmeans are producing the below; What does non-est mean? does this indicate that this analysis is inappropriate for this data? Is there a more suitable option? Cheers

KurtBremser, Thankyou for your response. This also achieves what I was after. There were no B dates smaller than or within 10 days from A, thankfully.

Ballardw, Thankyou this achieved exactly what I was after. I used the second approach, so other ranges I was not aware of were made visible by the missing values. My dates were already sas dates, so this made it simple. Sorry about the 120 day typo in the title. Thank you for your response, much appreciated.

Hi All, I have patient Id's with Date A and Date B. I am trying to assign 'Yes' to the patients where Date B is 11 to 20 days greater than Date A an 'No' to any Id where Date B is 21 or more days greater than Date A. ID DateA DateB Y/N 1 10May17 25May17 Y 3 8Nov18 10Dec18 N 2 13June17 26June17 Y Where do I start? Thanks in advance

Facts about the data: Every treatment occurs for two consecutive days (apart from <5% which is more than likely data input error. I will look at removing these entries). There are some id/group combination that occur multiple times (The two day treatment is consecutive, but the repeated treatment is a random date). There are multiple id's with the same and different id/group combinations on the same date. Most id's progress through ascending groups. Data is over 3 years and approx 50,000 obs (including duplicates on consecutive day). Can I some how make a new variable that contains the second treatment only, then remove the initial variable containing the two? I was thinking using if then statement, but unsure how to narrow it down to individual id/group combination. All help is much appreciated. Cheers Em

Hi Reeza Not every record has two entries and yes there are some multiple entries for id within a group and id may appear in multiple groups.

Hi All, I have a data set where every observation is repeated twice on consecutive days and I would like to delete the first observation. Any suggestions please? I have looked at using a DoW loop but haven't been successful.

I would like it as a sas date. Can it be a sas date, but displayed as a format easier to recognise?

You are right that the log also says date=._ERROR_=1 _N_=1 all the way through to _N_=20 where limit set Errors are reached. They all happen to have the same original date old=01SEP2017. Could it be the uppercase SEP? Or; the original dataset was imported from excel, in excel the date was 1-SEP-2017, but when I imported it, SAS automatically formatted it to 01SEP2017, could the problem be here somewhere?
