Thanks to those who read and helped. The solution is to change the shared folder settings in Oracle VM virtualbox Manager settings. Shared Folders -> new -> enter Folder Path and Name -> click Auto Mount and Permanent.

I can't get studio to open files on my local PC. The images below are the myfolders on my PC and also Studio. The myfolder on my PC was created before installing Studio, as per instructions. Any ideas? thanks Bill
