Or old school: 'DON''T KNOW' That is two single quotes in the middle. Useful to know as sometimes you can get values with mixed quotes and the single outside double quote won't do as expected. "Some string that has height measures like 5' 6" in the middle." Neither single quote works. You could use "Some string that has height measures like 5' 6"" in the middle."

Save the data to csv files and import those with a fixed data step; that way, you always get the same dataset structure, and a change in the spreadsheet structure will be easier to detect.

From where do you infer that the dataset should be there? Did you create it yourself through code, or is it part of the package of example data for the course? Inspect the directory with Windows Explorer to check if a file np_summary.sas7bdat exists, and that its filename is all lowercase.
