Hi everyone, I have been working on SAS® Visual Analytics (‘VA’) for most of the last two years, helping customers see the value of the product. As I like to think of it, helping them really think outside of the box, embracing data in a completely different way than they (we) have ever done with traditional BI. In conferences, I like to mention the “2 week turnaround time” that IT departments ask of their users when a new hierarchy is needed for a report. And the audience invariably laughs and someone will say “and 2 weeks is if we’re lucky.” With VA, that capability shifts to the users, speeds it up to be almost instantaneous, and frees IT to focus on more strategic tasks. Visual Analytics is truly a departure from how we (SAS and this Community) have done BI before.   To help better explain how much VA changes the landscape, I like to point people to this white paper, which gives a thorough overview of SAS® Visual Analytics:    Fast and Furious: How SAS VA Helps IT Deliver a Business Intelligence Platform for High-Speed Analytics   I feel this is a great paper that covers the entire VA ecosystem, from its capabilities, to its various components and finally to deployment options.
