I've heard of SASPy, but if you are on Viya, then I think SWAT is also available if you want to interface with SAS from your Python code and leverage processing on CAS. For PROC PYTHON, I don't think that procedure is available on 3.5. When I checked documentation, I could only find it in Viya 2020.1 and later. Perhaps I could have also missed it.
