I have a question about a topic within the following area:   Course: AI and Machine Learning Professional Module: Natural Language and Computer Vision Professional Lesson 5 Video: Scoring Categories Part 2 Time Position that produced the question 6:29   In this video, the instructor uses a suite of supervised learning techniques to predict a certain categorical variable.  After all the calculations are made, the diagnostic summary statistics and graphs are presented.  Within this material, the ROC curve is presented.     In the video, the ROC curve for this example is NOT non-decreasing.  I always thought that the ROC curve always began at point (0,0) and ended at point (1,1).  In the ROC curve for this example, the ROC curve doesn't extend out to 1,1 AND actually decreases as the x variable increases from a certain point.   Please help me understand the ROC curve in the demonstration.   Thank you,   Bill Donaldson ... Course: AI and Machine Learning Specialist Module: Forecasting and Optimization Specialist Submodule: Forecasting using Model Studio using SAS Viya   When dealing with Time-Series forecasting using a model that contains a moving-average term, what does SAS do when predicting future values and there are no actual values to difference from the predicted values for the MA term?  Because the moving-average term uses some form of the difference between an actual value and predicted value, eventually, if enough predictions are made, there will be no actual values.     My question is: If an ARMA model is fit to the data and we've made enough future predictions to run out of historic actual values, does the original ARMA model used for predictions degenerate into a AR model?   If a moving-average model is fit to the data, do future predictions eventually degenerate into the series mean?   Thank you,   Bill Donaldson ... Course : AI and Machine Learning Professional Module: Natural Language and Computer Vision Sub-Module - Visual Text Analytics using SAS Viya   I have three questions, none of which are specific to any of the demonstrations or discussions within this submodule.   1. Is it true that SAS Viya considers a categorical variable within a data set to be a "Target" variable?  If the category variable only has two outcomes, .  then SAS basically treats the problem as logistic regression?   2. If the original data set does not have any categorical variables and a categorical node is not added to the pipeline, is it true that no scoring (classifying) of the original data nor any "new" data is possible?   3.  In the Machine Learning Specialist Module, a text node was added to the pipeline to help predict if a cable-company customer would churn.  The output of the text node was a matrix of SVD values.  Are SVDs generated and used behind the scenes in the model-building process demonstrated in the " Natural Language and Computer Vision" node?   Thank you,   Bill Donaldson ... I have a question about material in the following area of study:   Course = AI and Machine Learning Professional Module= Machine Learning Specialist Lession = Lesson 6 Model Assessment and Deployment Subsection 1 Demonstration - Comparing Models across pipelines.
