Back in Australian Federal Government again (I was in the State gov for the last 2.5 years mainly using Microsoft/Azure tech stack), started a new job this week as an (AWS) Data Engineer, tech stack is similar to the job I had when I started this thread, ie AWS and SAS. Unfortunately, I have forgot most of the SAS I learnt so I will need to revise them before attempting SAS advanced again.

And I ran into something similar a while back where we had proxy accounts set up and SAS folks couldn’t get the syntax right. What ended up working was exactly the format you wrote, but the trick was making sure the Oracle client on their machine was updated and using the right TNS.
