This is a format problem. What you want is the first significant digit of the number. Check David Chapman's NESUG or SUGI paper on user define formats and proc report. He shows how to create a format to show the first two significant digits. Just modify that to show the first significant digit.

The best way is to use the ORACLE libname statement. libname oracle_db ORACLE USER='ASB" PASSWORD='123"; RUN; All the tables should now be accessible. This will give you the name of all the tables. proc datasets library=oracle_db;quit;

There are many ways to do. This is my favorite data in/view=in; set input_data_set; random=uniform(0); run; proc sort data=in out=output_data_set(obs=100); by random; run;

When producing a table, it is often recommended that you put a blank line every 5 or 10 rows to increase readability. It is not clear whether you can do this with PROC REPORT. Can you do this in PROC REPORT? If you can do it, how do you do it? Any ideas?
