The results in M7 are worse. It now produces a separate sheet for every table but has the first variable as the title to every table. Very confusing to read.

The same occurs with ODS EXCEL even though every table is on a separate sheet. ODS excel is not labelled preproduction so I would call this a bug.

Hi found a problem with ODS word with Proc ttest. when you have more than one analysis variable the title doesn't change from the first one.
For example if you have code something like this:
ods word file='junk.docx';
proc ttest data=screen; var SCREEN_B_WDHR SCREEN_B_WEHR; class NAPLAN3_R_NMS; title 'Screen time '; run;
ods word close;
When the analysis variable changes to SCREEN_B_WEHR the title still says the first variable, ie SCREEN_B_WDHR, which makes the output confusing to read.
It can be overcome by including the option 'options(body_title="yes")' in the ODS word statement, but that seems a bit clunky.
For it to work it would need a section break when the variable changes.
Regards

Can confirm that UE works ok now but still no luck with local install with sas studio 3.71 even though the hotfixes have been installed.

You are correct the version of chrome was older. After update it failed to start even after installing the hotfix for the local install.

Had the same problem in Firefox but not Chrome for both UE and local install. Turns out it was the adblocker.

Hi I tried your code using UNICODE version of SAS and works OK. You have to change your references to unicode characters to the actual character you want. (Character map is handy for this). S

There is an issue with combining unicode defined within GTL and unicode defined outside GTL such as in a data step or proc format. They don't seem to play well together. The easiest solution I have found is to run your code under the UNICODE language version of SAS. R

If you use the libname option its possible to use a xlsx file as long as it already exists. A response from SI would be welcome. R

Yes you will need SAS/Access to PC files If you are using 64bit Office 2010 apparently you do not need PC files server From the Readme for PC files server 9.3: "SAS/ACCESS Interface to PC Files now allows direct access to PCFILES (without using SAS PC Files Server) on 64-bit SAS *if* 64-bit Office (or ACE) is installed (Office 2010 or above only)." Export seems to be only able to create xlsb files. R jklein-271 wrote: As I've read a few conflicting answers online (SAS support included), can someone please tell me the cleanest solution to using proc import / export in an all 64 bit environment (Win 7 Pro 64 bit, SAS 9.3 64 bit, Office 2010 64 bit)? I seem to be failing in finding a functioning DBMS engine that will allow me import / export to a xlsx. Do I need SAS/Access to PC Files added to the license? Will installing PC Files server solve my problem? Between the two (leaving cost out of the comparison), is SAS /Access to PC Files a cleaner solution? Thanks for your time.

However the import/export wizards appear to be broken! (Don't use the full path). R
