Hi all, We are looking to enable APM. see below link https://documentation.sas.com/?docsetId=evug&docsetTarget=n0y0zbl7hnj8yhn1thh01vbag2mq.htm&docsetVersion=2.5&locale=en We need to understand 1 & 3 point in the heading section APM ETL Enablement and Initialization Steps. how to enable 1& 3 points and also will these logs monitor who edited which metadata object and when in a separate user logs/session logs (ex: jobs,tables,etc we can see this info also in metadata logs). can we see this information(ie:who, updated metadata objects and when) through SAS Environment manager. is there any step by step example other the above link. Yes, I wanted to see the file permissions straight away after making the change so I restarted the metadata server otherwise I need to wait until next day to see the file permission is changed or not . I think we don't need to restart the metadata server.

Ignore me. It worked ,If I change logconfig.xml file from <param name="FilePermissions" value="A::u::rw-,A::g::---,A::o::---"/> to <param name="FilePermissions" value="A::u::rw-,A::g::r--,A::o::r--"/> group and other should have "r--". Thanks for your response and help.

Yes all files created using SAS installer account has 600 permissions (ex: objectspwaner,metadata,etc but not the mid tier server logs have 640 permissions). I changed like below <param name="FilePermissions" value="A::u::rw-,A::g::---,A::o::---"/> it worked in Workspace server logconfig file as that one doesn't have rolling log. I am looking for only logs with 644 permissions. If I change umask to 0022 in .bashrc then it is for all files which is created by sas installer account?

All, Currently our SASMeta_MetadataServer.log log permissions are set to 600 .How can we set the metadata server log file permission to 644. I tried to set the permissions in logconfig.xml in metadata server but it didn't help us as that file has Rolling log file with default rollover of midnight. is there anyway we can set to 644 or please can you advise on this. Git is for version control-but no way to force users to use this. We have logs for, who updated the job and when but not WHAT. I am after ,WHAT has changed in the DI job.

Hi All, there are good practices for Audit , control and also bit bucket integration for version control in DIS. is there a way for proper audit. All, Can we create/register metadata libraries through EG code/GUI ? there is a proc metalib procedure but that seems to update tables.and we can assign meta lib by using libname statement(ex: libname test meta libraray="test1"). Thanks, SS

All, We have two environments (dev,prod). we want to restrict few users to not to access E MINER tool from Dev .is there any method for this (ie:group or role in SMC). ex: For forecasting studio we can restrict them by not adding them to forecast groups/roles. Thanks, SS
