You can assign viewer privileges to the users. Go to SAS management console, select users, groups and roles there. You will find a role for visual analytics viewers. You can assign only this role to the user.   You can go through different capabilities and create a custom role as well.   Additionally, you can control access at reports folder level as well from VA Administration section. One thing I clearly get from your questions is that, you should focus on business understanding first. How the businesses work, how their data is important to a data scientist, what is the purpose of performing different operations on data etc. should be the main line of thought then only these technical things will make sense.    I have mainly worked on AML & Fraud solutions. When I talk about a technical code / scenarios / rule for detection of Fraud / ML, it directly comes from the business requirements. So, first it's important to understand the business and possible fraud / ML cases. Then, we think about creating rules to identify / block such transactions. These business rules are then replicated into technical jargon.    Your other questions are very specific to data analytics. I think you should try to post these questions separately, experts will help you getting an idea about it. First Add field at at core table level i.e. FSC_PARTY_DIM, then define it in your prep datasets by changing prep source files (!AMLROOT/custom/source/prep_files). Add the field at header level.
