Hello, i have a problem with importing csv file. the file contains from two columns, one numeric(id), and one character(name). This Csv file was created as export from sql. When i use proc import procedure i get that two my variables are character i use options getnames=yes and datarow=2). But what is interesting, that if i open this file in excel and save it as Csv file, and then use import proc, i get one variable numeric and one character. What is problem? What i can do? Can i use proc import? Thank you

Hello, i have list of name of stores. i take every time one of the names(put the name to macro with call symputx) and cut other data with the name. the problem that some names has double quotes inside name. example : namestore ind aaaa 1 b("bb b") 2 cc 3 d_"dd_d" 4 thank you

right, but the problem with allcomb function that is not so suitable for my data. my data is look like : my variable is column vector and not row. from this column vector i want create all different samples, one below each other. my data&colon; id 1 2 3 4 5 6

Hello, i would like to ask you about sample selection. I want to select all different samples from data with no replacement. i tried proc surveyselect with methods =srs , but i saw that some samples are same as previous, and my aim to select always different samples. For example : my data is: 1,2,3,4,5 i want to choose all different samples, that size sample is 4, total different samples maybe : 5!/(4!*(5-4)!)=5 the samples will be :1,2,3,4 ; 1,2,3,5 ; 1,2,4,5; 1,3,4,5; 2,3,4,5 thank you

To create signed ranks from the original values, 1. use the ABS(x) function in a DATA step to create the absolute values of the original values; 2. use the SIGN(x) function in a DATA step to extract the signs of the original values; 3. use PROC RANK to rank the absolute values of the original values; and 4. use a DATA step to create signed ranks by multiplying the signs of the original values times the ranks of the absolute values of the original values. Then use these signed ranks and the weights for each value in PROC SURVEYMEANS.

Thank you very much. I have another one question. I want to weight every difference(time weight) and then use wilcoxon signed rank test. How can i weight wilcoxon signed rank test? as i understood from forum it doesn't work in proc univariate? Maybe you know what i should do? In your opinion can i weight observation in sign test too? as i understand i don't think the weight will be influence, but maybe i don't undesrand something? Thank you

Thank you for your answer. As i understood i got p_value that corresponds to a two-sided test, and then if i check positive hypothesis, i have to divide the p-value by 2. right? but if i want to check alternative hypothesis, negative, how can i find the p-value? can you explain me please? thank you

Thank you for your answer. i run my code with proc univariate and got right signed test results, but about wilcoxon test i got something strange, i got results, that if i divide this result by 2, i got result from book. my data (i respresent d=y-x): n=15 0.47 0.88 1.41 1.06 -0.12 -0.24 -0.59 0.58 0.18 -0.41 1.00 -0.35 0.76 0.71 -1.18 Can you explain what is right? i want to know how can i get the value of wilcoxon signed rank test(one sample). for example, P(V>=85)=P(V<=84)=0.0844. how can i get 0.0844? i didn't find any function where i can calculate a wilcoxon value. i know there are wilcoxon table and i can go to see the value there but ii need to get the value automatically. thank you. as i understand you, the number after dot, is number of seconds and not milliseconds and the maximum can be 100.(i never see more than 100). i have to substract only two numbers, and the result multiply by 1000? for example : 1. 08:20:41.87 1. 08:20:40.47 08:20:41.87-08:20:40.47=00:00:01.40(one seconds and 41 number of seconds) (40/100+01)*1000? right? thank you

i have a variable of time, such as 08:25:46.87. i need to find difference between two times and want to know total milliseconds. i found function INTCK, but i don't have there milliseconds. what i should do? what do you thins about the next solution : if i got that difference between two times is : 00:02:37.44, i can convert minutes to seconds and get total seconds 157 and to multiply it by 1000(1 seconds=1000milliseconds), and then add 440 seconds(44*1000/100)? thank you

yes, i have ETS. i know about the proc expand, but how i can create in proc expand moving window? i predicted windows i want only to find the last price and first price, and in the sample window, i want to find some simple statistics, such as mean, total volume... then i want to present it as one row, i.e every big window(in my example 1 hour) . thank you for your help

Hello, i have a data, and for every day i want to create time Moving window, and then to process all windows. at the end, i will keep only one row for big window and there will be some statistics of every little windows. moving window includes two big windows(every one is 30 minutes, of course it can be any number) and every one of them include 3 little windows(every one can be different number but total is 30 minutes) for example my window is 1 hour, so one window is my sample window is 30 minutes, and then the second window (predicted window) is too 30 minutes. for every window i have to know their id(i have to create id) what i get : window : 08:00 - 09:00 sample window : 08:00-08:30 sample_window1 :08:00-08:05, sample_window2 : 08:05-08:15, sample_window3 : 08:5-08:30 predicted window : 08:30-09:00 predicted_window1 :08:30-08:40, predicted_window2 : 08:40-08:50, predicted_window3 : 08:50-09:00 then i have to create interval, for example 10 minutes, and create windows again and so on... window : 08:10 - 09:10 sample window : 08:10-08:40 sample_window1 :08:10-08:15, sample_window2 : 08:15-08:25, sample_window3 : 08:25-08:40 predicted window : 08:40-09:10 predicted_window1 :08:40-08:50, predicted_window2 : 08:50-09:00, predicted_window3 : 09:00-09:10 off course all times and intervals are macro variables. my data example : time date 08:00 26/10/15 08:01 26/10/15 08:10 26/10/15 08:15 26/10/15 08:20 26/10/15 08:29 26/10/15 08:37 26/10/15 08:38 26/10/15 08:47 26/10/15 08:54 26/10/15 08:58 26/10/15 .....
