Hi, The communication about the redirections are being done on the following way: user's webbrowser request (aka initial URL - your newhost) -> web server (apache) (optional until SAS 9.4) -> web application server (jboss, weblogic, vfabric) -> metadata. Then, from metadata, is the logic on the redirections. If you go to ConfigurationManager and then to your VA applications, in the internal/external connection tabs you can see to which protocol, host, folder and port number you will be redirected when you try to reach a SAS Web application, including SASLogon, VA or any other. You have the following options: 1- Create a rewrite rule on your proxy web server to change carefully all the urls you need. And if you don't have the proxy, you can always put a web server with reverse proxy configuration in front (see Reverse Proxy configuration in SAS) 2- Use the Update Hostname utility within SAS Deployment Manager for all your SAS platform for VA... you need to change any reference to the old host to the newhost... also in configuration files. If you dont have experience I advise to ask for support. 3- You can just change the redirections within the metadata, on the place I mentioned before, but carefully and probably that also will require to change it on your web server/reverse proxy, if you have. Besides a re-installation maybe there are a couple of options to consider: what this error msg says is that one of your COM components required by Enterprise Guide are not registered in Windows, so you cannot connect to your metadata/workspace server(local or remote). Then: you can try to register them running EGuide.exe /register... If you have admin rights on your computer. Probably you will need an admin Or support guy (If you are not ) this is maybe a virtualised installation of EGuide. Virtualised installations require to follow some specific recipes (standard requirement for many virtualization client software). Kurt is correct. You can look for the issue from the SAS side, but it will be easier for you to do it from the start of your request to the Stored Process. As you are making use of JQuery, I would debug first the front-end (many options, I like the firefox ones) to validate that, at least, the dynamic query (js, AJAX) and if it is OK, then debug the Java application or see the logs from your web application server (Jboss, WebLogic, etc) and your Java application. This is the critical point to realize the origin of your issue. Hi, my advise: first check the requirements for SAS 9.4 (check foundation and all your SAS solutions and products, including the SAS/ACCESS Interfaces to your datasources) on the OS you want to use: http://support.sas.com/resources/sysreq/ Added to the comment frim SASWiki: you can find different kind of migrations for SAS: data migration (Databases or sas datasets) Applications and programs from users Move your server from one domain to other, change your server name/ips/other basic configurations SAS software to newer versions: in this case, you can do an upgrade of the software, or install the new software from scratch and then migrate the metadata and the content. For the first one, check: t if you move from a 32 bit to 64 bit environment and software ( I am expecting you are already on 64) and if you are changing your OS. If so, you will need data migration The second one will require an analysis more in detail that I cannot describe now and here. The third can be supported by cloning the (vm) servers, the hostname update utility, changing configuration files, etc And the forth can be approached as commented and then decide if you will export/import metadata and BI content or you will use the SMU (SAS Migration Utility) to migrate to the new version. Or upgrade the software and then fix what is required, but it is risky, sometimes you don;t need to do anything else and it is easy, but sometimes .... better not to explain.
