This feature is currently in development and should be available in one of the next releases. As you discovered - it's supported for bubble or coordinates overlays at the moment. Regards, Falko

I can share an update once the exact release date is known. I should mention that data labels are supported for the other geo types (bubble/scatter). VA utilizes SAS Viya actions behind the scenes. The one responsible for detecting communities is named Hypergroup. The related documentation is here and should contain additional information and examples. This action is also utilized for determining the graph layout for the non-geographical view. Hope this helps! Not sure what version of Visual Analytics you are using - but the ability to turn off the map background has been added to VA 7.5 and VA 8.x. In the options panel you can uncheck the 'map background' option. This feature has been used in the gallery example https://communities.sas.com/t5/SAS-Visual-Analytics-Gallery/Analyzing-US-Wildfires-using-SAS-Visual-Analytics/ta-p/467894 where the top right county map of Florida only shows the custom polygons. Hi, Unfortunately Sankey and Network diagrams are only available in SAS Visual Analytics Explorer which does not support filter interaction between objects. I'm not aware of a work-around in 7.4 though. We do support this kind of interaction in either VA 7.5 or in any of the newer SAS Viya based versions (VA 8.x). And yes, a node selection in a network would trigger the auto filtering of other visualizations including Sankey. Regards, Falko

Sorry for the delay in responding. As far as I remember the graph shouldn't change (in terms of number of paths displayed) if you change the aggregation. Are you able to share your data so I can see more details (the screens you shared indicate you have used a different data set than the one used in the first example). Or alternatively - can you try using the original data and see whether you see similar results? Thanks, Falko

Hi, Unfortunately I don't have access to a public demo server. The interactive version looks very similar to the provided screenshot - just with ability to select GoT seasons and episodes. Hi, The levels-role in network analysis requires a hierarchy. There are many ways creating a hierarchy - the easiest is probably selecting two or more data items in the data panel and right mouse click -> create hierarchy. You can't add individual data items anymore as you were able to in VA 7.x - only hierarchies. Hope this helps. Regards, Falko

Hi Martin, What version of Visual Analytics are you using? The %SHPIMPRT macro was introduced in VA 8.2 - it seems the macro is not available in your environment suggesting an older version or an instance of SAS which hasn't been updated yet. You may also look into PROC MAPIMPORT which is provided as part of the SAS/Graph package and provides similar features. If you are using VA 7.4 - you may also check out related information about importing custom polygons as part of the administration guide. Hope this helps!! Regards, Falko

Just in time for season 8 of the very popular Game Of Thrones TV series - I found an interesting data set containing a detailed character count for each season and episode, published by Jeffrey Lancaster. The data also includes relationships between characters such as married, killed by, etc. - allowing for interesting data visualizations. I used the data in this example infographic using SAS Visual Analytics: Game Of Thrones - Episode and Character Analysis The interactive version of the report allows interactive filtering - providing more detailed analysis and comparison between seasons and episodes.

Hi Frank, Unfortunately cluster bubbles will always show frequency and resolve to real data points (with the measure shown as assigned in the roles panel) as you drill down to detail level. There are plans to allow other aggregation measures for the cluster bubbles in future but I don't have a date for availability just yet. Hope this helps. Falko

I used a precision container and added the large mountain image as a background with the bar charts on top. Also adjusted slightly the transparency of the bar charts.

Section link filters depend on actual selection. So in order to trigger a filter update in other sections - you would need to select data elements (e.g. table row, bubble, list item, etc.) in your first section. Instead of a fixed filter in the filter panel for the 'appeals tags' - you could use a list or drop-down component instead (so part of your report). Then a related selection in that list should also trigger a filter interaction in other sections. Hope this helps. Regards, Falko
