I have a sas dataset with around 80k records. I have to join/process this dataset with few teradata tables. But these teradata tables are huge with about 40 million records in each table. Since I do not have access to create tables in teradata, I am creating volatile table and appending this dataset to volatile table but the problem is, it is taking too long to load/append this dataset to the volatile table. There are about 80k records and 30 columns. It takes about 2 hour in night but when I run in daytime it never completes. I am using multistmt=yes tpt=no option (fastload/mutliload does not work with volatile table) but it is not helping at all. Please advice on what might be the right approach ? Thanks, Nick ... Hello everyone, I have my source data in oracle table. I am bringing this data to SAS and applying some logic. But some of the reference data is stored in teradata table. I am having hard time deciding how to bring in the teradata reference table to SAS since it is a huge table with about 400 million records. I was thinking of loading this sas dataset to teradata but we do not have capability to create tables in teradata in production. I found a way to create volatile table in teradata with this sas dataset but since the dataset is also so big that it may not be efficient to create volatile table. I have been loading data from SAS to oracle table using the proc append with libref. I only had few thousand records before but now I have to load million records. I tried adding bulkload to increase the load performance but I am getting an error. It loads fine without bulkload but takes long time.   libname mylib oracle user="xxxxxx" password="xxxxxx" path="xxxxxxx" dbclient_max_bytes=1 schema="xxxxx"; proc append base=mylib.ora_table(bulkload=yes sasdatefmt=(mydate=date9.));             data=have; run; ERROR: Insufficient authorization to access /opt/sasconfig/xxxxxxxxxxxxx   Does bulkload not work with proc append? Hi All,   I have a dataset with an ID and an amount columns. Some of the IDs are duplicate with the different amounts. I want to concatenate the amounts and only keep the first record. If n>1, then want to concatenate the amount values but keep other values from the record where n=1.
