Hello, SAS VIYA : 3.5 SAS Visual Analytics : 8.5 Can anyone advise if is possible to enter multiple values separated by a delimiter (comma, or other) in a text box, to filter a list object? For example: The List object has the values: 00000a, 0000ab, 00000c, 00100c, 12345d I have linked the text object to a parameter and created an advanced filter using "contains" so that if in the text box I enter "0a" the list box will display 0000a and 0000ab. What I would like to do is to enter: - "0a","0c" in the text box and the list object to display 00000a, 0000ab, 00000c, 00100c, or - "100c", "5d" in the text box and the list object to display 00100c, 12345d I have tried to allow multiple values in the text parameter so that I can use "in" operator but I couldn't assigned it to the text box parameter role. Also I'm wondering if we can use wildcards in the text box? Thank you, smm662002

Hello, SAS VIYA 3.5 SAS Visual Analytics 8.5 Can anyone advise how can we change the text style for "lattice columns" for a vertical bar chart in SAS Visual Analytics 8.5? Hi, Thank you so much for your answer. Spot on. Initially I tried with "string" type for table2 but I had a similar error hence I decided to change to "CASOUTTABLE". Would you have any additional documentation describing when to use the types "CASOUTTABLE" | "CASTABLE" | "CASVAR" | "PARAMLIST" ? Also I had the impression that send_response is always required but your answer is proving that I misunderstood it. Thank you, smm662002

Hello, I am using SAS VIYA 3.5. Has anybody tried to define an in-memory table in the "definition" parameter of "builtins.defineActionSet"? (I am aware that the table can be created when we call the new custom CAS action using "savereresult" statement) For example in the following code I have tried to save the details of the table TBL in table CASUSER.TBL_RES directly from the definition of the new action set. I think that "send_response" highlighted in orange is not right. The error code I receive is below the code. Thank you for your suggestions. Hi, Thank you for your answer. The data presented in the post is just an extract from a larger table having over 100 columns and a few million records. This data is calculated data rather than raw data. The data can have further transformations, but the question was if the desired chart can be created in SAS Visual Analytics using the data as it is now. Thank you, smm662002

Hello, SAS VIYA: 3.5 SAS Visual Analytics: 8.5 Having a table with the following structure (table is loaded in CAS) would it be possible to create a bar chart like in the example below without having to create new a new table (in SAS Studio) to summarise the data? Hi Eyal, Thank you for your reply. CAS action table.tableDetails provides two useful columns "Data size" and "Variable Data size". Would you know if table size is the sum of "Data size" and "Variable Data size"? Thank you, Madalin

If I don't run the proc fcmp on grid the code would return an error. Would it be possible to explain more on your sugestion to not run thr fcmp on GRID but just provide the function to the othe GRID processes? Thank you, Madalin

Hello, When running proc fcmp on Unix grid I receive the below warning: "The filename "work.funcs.test" has too many levels, only the first 2 levels will be used" work.funcs.test is used in outlib and in options cmplib The warning is not produced if the same proc fcmp is run on Windows server. The results creted by the function are right and not impacted by this warning. The code is running in SAS 9.2 Base. Would anybody knows what changes I need to stop receving this warning. Hello, I am creating two XLS report using proc report and ods excelxp.tagset (I am using SAS 9.3 on Windows). The code run without any errors and the report is created but after the file is created a SAS window is displayed asking if I want to open the XLS file in SAS. I have managed to disable this message window only by manually changing the options in Tools-->Options-->Preferences-->Results. The problem is that even if I change the display options in one session, SAS will still revert to the default settings when a new session is started. I have tried to use ods _all_ close, ods html close but no results. I think that the default options can be changed in the ODS SAS registry but I don't want to so far. Would anybody know what should I do to stop displaying that message window? Thank you, Madalin

More info: We have a large daily dataset that is updated every day which store about 5 years data (the file is aprox 7Gb while the index is about 1Gb). Based on this table we build two views: one weekly and one monthly. Because recently the dataset has start making problems and restoring the dataset from backups takes about 6 hours we have decided to split the dataset in two tables: a rolling 12 month file and a history file. In the current process we use 3 indexes. Because the views use all the data we need to union or append the two tables created and build the views. In the current process the views get the indexes from the parent dataset but the problem I have now is that after union join the 2 tables the views are not indexed. Is there a way to "transfer" the indexes to the views after the union join?
