Hi, Does using left joins on Non-Key fields when we have huge data creates a performance issue.If it creates then what is the best way to over come that. test is my data set in SAS and the remaining tables are from data base. ID AND ID1 are two different Id's and so i called the data base table again in the same query. Hi, I want to know which is the best way for calculations. For example: If i have a situtation where i have to take counts grouping by state and then grouping by country then i will use PROC SQL.once i will do it with state and then i will do it with country. As a result it will take two steps PROC SQL;   CREATE TABLE STATE_POP AS SELECT *,COUNT(X) AS STATE_COUNT FROM  TEST GROUP BY STATE QUIT; PROC SQL;   CREATE TABLE STATE_POP AS SELECT *,COUNT(X) AS COUNTRY_COUNT FROM  TEST GROUP BY COUNTRY QUIT; Instead of doing it as two step process.Is there any other way i can do all the calculations in one. Hi, i want my proc freq only to do counts and not percent. so what i did was PROC FREQ DATA=TEMP ORDER=FREQ NOPRINT; TABLES X * Y / NOPERCENT OUT=TEMP2; RUN; but even though i mention no percent my out put is showing X           Y                    COUNT        PERCENT abc       123                    2                40 I don't want the percent to be calculated.
