I'm sorry but hiding totals for selected measures was a feature added in 4.4

Beginning with release 4.4, you can exclude selected measures from totals. However, there is no way to exclude a category from a total. In other words, you cannot see a total for "No. of Cases" for "Status" and "Branch" but not for "Product". You could only exclude totals completely for "No. of Cases." This is what the option looks like.

The following workaround has worked for other customers: In the information map for the source report, make a copy of the Date data item. Edit the expression to use the PUT function and include the desired format like this: PUT(<<PRDSAL2.DATE>>,DATE9.) Change the Expression Type to Character. Add this data item to the source report but hide it in the crosstab. When you create your link, associate this hidden copy of the Date data item with the prompt in the target report.

The first issue is explained in 30964 - Visually complex SAS® Web Report Studio reports might display overlapping images in Microsoft Excel . The workaround is to open the report directly using the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office. The second issue could be different things depending on your release of Web Report Studio. You might be encountering the issue in 52060 - SAS® Visual Analytics might import date values in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet as character values. Can you confirm that the value in Excel is truly stored as time?

You should be able to control this functionality using the Web Report Studio roles. The capabilities that you want to control are beneath the "OLAP" category. In this category you can enable or disable the following: Drill, Drill to Detail, Expand and Collapse, and Expand And Collapse All. Note that if you want to enable or disable specific features for certain users, we recommend that you create a custom role. We recommend this because there is no way to return to the 'out of the box' settings after you have modified one of the built-in roles.

You still need to export the updated exploration as a report. But, then you can open the existing report in Designer, and simply import the new visualization from the newly saved exploration/report.

This error can occur for several different reasons. Even without knowing the exact cause, SAS Technical Support can usually repair the report for you.

When you unlock the code, the Design and Results tabs are removed from the interface, and you must continue to maintain the query via code. Is this the behavior that you are referring to?
