The SAS Hot Fix Analysis, Download and Deployment Tool (SASHFADD) analyzes a SAS 9.2, SAS 9.3 or SAS 9.4 deployment, creates a customized report listing hot fixes available for the installed SAS products, and generates scripts that automate the download of the hot fixes. A script is also generated for installing SAS 9.2 hot fixes. The SAS Deployment Manager is used for installing SAS 9.3 and SAS 9.4 hot fixes. One instance of SASHFADD can be used to analyze SAS installations on multiple machines, and neither SAS 9.2, SAS 9.3 nor SAS 9.4 need to be installed on the same machine as SASHFADD. Are you getting emails at all? Is it every day? I can change your setting for you, but was surprised to see it set to 'never' because it sounds as if you are getting email. I want to record the setting as a bug if that is the case.

We do have a problem. In one minute, I am mad at people who will spend their time creating profiles and posting these elaborate posts. In the next minute, I am a little sad that this is the best work that people can find. I don't want to start a social commentary here, but this type of attack does make me think. We are working to find the best possible solution to keep these folks out of our databases and to prevent their posts from showing up in our communities. We have a couple of good choices and will start testing them this week. Hang in there with us a few more days. If you want to see what others have said or suggested as fixes, you cant.

I don't know how this happens. I can't reproduce the experience, so it is hard to debug. I have been working with the Jive tech support staff. They suggested that we verify the the post was opened as a question -- this one was. And that the person who is trying to mark it as helpful verify that they are actively logged in (refresh the page to make sure your log in hasn't expired). The other option for @Csc to try is to select Reply on the answer they want to mark as correct. It should also show up then. I'd love to hear from you if either of these things work.

@Denis. Have you followed the links in the emails to ensure that Stop Email Notifications is not showing. When you request email this way the preferences settings don't stop those emails.

Have you checked to be sure that you don't have the Receive Email Notification option selected? If you have set your email preferences to no for everything and are still getting email, somewhere in the past, you probably requested email notification. The system believes that if you ask for email notification, you mean "give it to me instantly, dang it!". The only way to clear this is to find the selections and select Stop Email Notifications. This setting can be on a forum or on a post. The easiest way to find them is to follow the link from the email to the post. If you do not see Stop Email Notifications on the post, go up to the forum and check in the actions box for Stop Email Notifications. Whenever you see this option, select it. Your email will stop. Let me know if this helps.

If you want to take instructor led training, you can find SAS training resources for the data miner on support.sas.com. There are also some great books offered by SAS Press. Maybe someone in this community can recommend one or two. You can peruse the list in the SAS Bookstore.
