How to limit number of events to a window based on rolling time

Hi experts,

 

We have ESP 6.2 and need to set a rolling-time limit on number/count of events that can reach a certain window in the ESP flow. For example, no more than 10000 events in 15 minutes. If more events arrive the ones over 10000 should be written to an external CSV file and not to the window.

I thought about using the technique: https://documentation.sas.com/doc/en/espcdc/6.2/espcreatewindows/p1g0cq46pp4crin1o31berpvdhcr.htm (Augmenting Incoming Events with Rolling Statistics) but not sure if this is the correct/best approach.

 

Please advise.
