I think I am missing something small because this isn't the first time I took a proc ttest but here is the question:

Perform a t-test to decide whether the difference in mean sale price between homes with pools and homes without pools is statistically significant. Attach only the portion of your output that shows the t-test.

and here is my code:

proc ttest data=alyssa.homeprices;
var price;
class price= pool ="1"/ pool= "0";
run;

You don't have the same number of left parentheses and right parentheses. This will always cause an error.

 

The options in the CLASS statement you are trying to use do not exist, they have to be removed. The only thing allowed in the CLASS statement is the name of the class variable.
